FCCLA “Maggie Grace” Angel Tree
For the 21st year, the Philip Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America chapter is sponsoring the community “Maggie Grace” Angel Tree.  The Angel Tree will be located on the first floor of the Haakon County Courthouse beginning November 20.  The Philip FCCLA Chapter in conjunction with Haakon Community Health Office, Philip School, and the SD West River Social Services foster child program out of Martin will distribute the donations to children in need in the Philip and surrounding areas.

This year you will find angels on the tree listing the age (birth-18), gender, and specific wish list ideas and clothing sizes for a child.  Remove the angel from the tree and return it attached to the unwrapped gift (s).  If you are unable to get a specific angel, any gift you bring will be appreciated! New items only please, no used items or clothing. Popular gifts are gift cards, nail polish, books, hair items, trucks, Hot Wheels, developmental toys, DVDs, balls, and dolls. To donate to the project, leave your unwrapped toy, book, blanket, or new article of clothing under the tree located next to the extension office in the Courthouse before 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 13

If you know of a child in need in our community or would like additional information, please contact:  Brigitte Brucklacher, FCCLA adviser, at Philip High School, 859-2680. Help make a difference in the life of a child!

JH/HS students:  Remember to keep your belongings where they belong - PE/sports items are to be LOCKED in your locker room locker - it is your responsibility to bring or get a lock from the office and to USE it.  This means while you are in class as well as during activities that we are hosting.  Be smart about the amount of money you are bringing to school.

From the handbook:
Valuables, Money and Padlocks
Do not leave valuables or money in your lockers or locker rooms.  The school cannot be responsible for anything that is lost or stolen. Padlocks are available for student use on both hall and gym lockers.  They may be checked out through the HS Principal's office
